I utilize the power of big data to make companies as competitive as possible and to shed light on the inner workings of the brain.

I presently work in the medical technology field for a Fortune 500 company that develops advanced surgical devices, patient monitoring technology, diagnostic AI, and data driven solutions.

Related to my work in the medical industry, I am currently pursuing my PhD in experimental psychology/cognitive science at New Mexico State University under the advisement of Dr. Michael Hout in the Vision Sciences & Memory Lab.

The aim of my research is to determine the degree to which generalization and perceptual similarity between objects impacts outcomes of selective attention. I endeavor to create wide-reaching theories that dissolve the boundaries between cognitive phenomena (see: Alan Newell’s 20 Questions). What interests me most is finding comprehensive explanations for the emergence of the complex behaviors that facilitate an organism’s exploration of the world around it.
